FL Vacation - Disney Day

Monday night we boarded a plane and flew to Orlando! We get to vacation in Florida for 11 days! I can't tell you how excited we are. The past two days have consisted of sunshine (and a bit of a burn), driving with the windows down, and warmth. Those three things are very welcomed after some very cold and snowy weather in Ohio.

Tuesday we spent the day at Disney. We were given two nights at a Disney resort, so decided to go ahead and go to Magic Kingdom for a day. I had excitement building up for this day for a couple of months. Thinking about how Cooper would actually understand what was going on this time, and it would be more likely to remember some of the events created this energy inside me where I just wanted to jump up and down.  Cooper could tell you he was going to Disney, to see Mickey, ride dumbo, a train, and see a big castle. But he didn't quite know the scope of those things, and I was anxious to see his face when we finally arrived.

Complete and utter joy. That's what his face showed. And as the day continued so did the joy. My mom and dad joined us for the day, too, and took Cooper back to the hotel for a nap. That left me and Andrew with some time to ourselves at the park. The day was pretty perfect.

here it comes!

apparently he pulls up his shirt when he gets nervous

there he is!

notice his mouth is open and he's yelling "mickeeeey...heeeeey"

LOVING dumbo

grampsy took him on a roller coaster

Funny story about Small World. Andrew dislikes the ride a lot. If you've gone on it as many times as him, you just don't need to see it again. We were docked at the end, and they kept opening and closing the gates, but told us to stay seated. They were going to push us up and load two boats at once. The lady said, "You won't go again...I promise." Famous last words. They pushed us forward, and we didn't stop. We kept going. And you heard this loud, "noooooo" come from the adults on the boat. We got a complimentary fast pass out of it, though!

It is so fun to be a kid with our kid.

We finished our day at Disney and realized we still had over a week left of vacation! What do you do the rest of your vacation after spending a day at the happiest place on earth? We're hoping some relaxation, time with friends and family, a trip to the aquarium, the beach, and some parks will finish out our time here nicely.
