moments.

Moments. The come and go. So many of them in a day. And, sadly, they aren't moments I tend to capture or hold onto very often.

It's the train playing on the floor moments. The ninja turtle moves as we run, yes RUN, around the house moments. It's the books, books, and more books being read moments. It's the snuggle time moments. It's the hide and seek with a blanket moments. It's the scratch my back moments. These are the moments that are seemingly non-special. But the reality is that they are quite spectacular.

For it's in these moments that my boy knows he's loved. It's in these moments he knows he is cared for. It's in these moments he knows he is important enough to me that I will spend time with him.

These moments are the heartbeat of our family. They form the relationships we have with each other now, building up to the relationships we will have with each other 20 years from now.

May we always take time for each other. May we always play together, read together, share with each other.
